Ras malai is an all-season sweet, loved by every member of the family.
Preparation of Bread Ras Malai
Ingredients needed for making :
- 1 liter of whole milk
- 4 slices of white bread, you may use up to 6 slices
- 50 grams of sugar
- 10 to 12 crust or finely chopped cashew or you may use cashew powder instead
- 10 to 12 finely chopped pistachio
- 8 to 10 finely chopped almonds and 2 pinches of saffron
How to make delicious Bread Ras Malai
Let’s start the recipe of bread ras malai. Turn on the flame and put the milk pan on the gas stove. Increase the flame to high and allow the milk to come to boil.
Once the milk starts boiling reduce the flame to low and stir the milk. Stir it with a spoon.
Boil the milk on low flame till it reduces to half of its original quantity. It takes about 25 minutes on low flame. Keep it stirring in between till milk has reduced to half of its original quantity.
Now let’s add sugar and dry fruits. Add the sugar, cashews, half of the chopped almond, half of the Chopped Pistachio, and we will add saffron.
Mix it properly. We will use remaining dry fruits for garnishing. Keep boiling the milk and dry fruits until it has reduced to 1/4 of its original quantity.
Keep it stirring in between to ensure that the milk doesn’t stick to the bottom or sides of the pan. Milk is almost done. We will boil it for another 5 to 7 minutes.
Milk has reduced to 1/4 of its quantity now. Let’s turn off the flame. Let the boiled malai milk to cool down a little. Its thickness will increase after it cools down completely.
Take one slice of bread and put it on the plate. Press the glass against the bread to remove the edges of the bread and take out the round-shaped bread slices from the glass.
Keep it aside on the plate. Now repeat the process to cut the remaining bread slices. Bread slices are ready now. Let’s move to the final step.
Milk has cooled down now and bread slices are ready. Garnish it with remaining chopped almond, chopped pistachio and saffron. Now let’s start plating.
Final preparation of Bread Ras Malai
For plating take a serving plate. Put two slices of bread in malai milk. Dip it properly. Flip it and leave it in the malai milk for a minute. Now take out the dipped slices in the serving plate.
Pour some extra malai on it. Now our bread ras malai is almost ready. Garnish it now. For garnishing put some almonds, a little pistachio and you may add little saffron also.
Saffron is optional. Plating is complete now. You may serve it as it is or you may serve it after keeping it in the fridge for two to three hours. Now, this bread ras malai is ready to serve.
